Old Stone Center Foundation - Arthur B. Mayers Scholarship Program
PURPOSE The Arthur B. Mayers Scholarship fund has been established by the students and staff of the Old Stone Center and the Office of Adult and Continuing Education of the Cleveland Municipal School District to honor Arthur B. Mayers, Executive Director of the Old Stone Foundation, and to provide scholarships for college students who have graduated from their program.
ELIGIBILITY
- Student applicants must have been involved with the Old Stone Center as a student, as SIMS participant, or a graduate.
- Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Applicants who have been involved with and have committed time in participating in special school programs such as SIMS, field trips, etc.
- The student selected for the award should follow a full-time or part-time college course of study or major in a four-year college or university, two-year junior or community college or vocationaltechnical school or graduate school. The student must complete a minimum of twelve course hourseach grading period.
- Applicants must submit one letter of recommendation with the option of submitting a second recommendation.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARD The Old Stone Foundation will accept applications on a rolling basis throughout the year and will award scholarships as determined by funds available. The scholarship will be disbursed at the beginning of the academic year.
