University Hospitals Nursing Tuition Support Program

The University Hospitals Tuition Support Program for Nursing Students will provide nursing students with funds to support their course of study while they are attending school and will provide University Hospitals with potential candidates for vacant Nursing job opportunities. Tuition Support is awarded as a forgivable loan, conditioned on the participant’s future employment in a Nursing position with University Hospitals (at the entity where agreement was made). The Tuition Support Program is operated on Academic Years.
Who is Eligible
- Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an accredited course of study leading to a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), Accelerated BSN Degree, or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Degree.
- At the time of application for Tuition Support, the individual must be a U.S citizen or be able to provide documentation that he/she will otherwise be legally eligible to work in the U. S. Upon completion of the nursing program/receiving their RN license for the defined length of the work commitment associated with Tuition Support received.
- Applicants must be maintaining a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.2 (in a 4.0 system) and be in good academic standing.
- Applicants must submit a Letter of Recommendation from a nursing faculty member, typed on school/college letterhead.
- Applicants must also submit a current official grade transcript.
Type of Program Eligible for Support
- Traditional 4-year Bachelors Degree program - apply senior year
- Accelerated Bachelor Degree Program Last 12 months of program - apply winter prior to last 12 months
- Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) - apply winter prior to certification for NCLEX
