Sherwin-Williams Cooperative Education Experience Scholarship Program

PURPOSE To provide scholarship awards to both undergraduate and graduate student interns who are involved in the Sherwin-Williams Cooperative Education Experience in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Undergraduate and graduate students who have joined the Sherwin-Williams Cooperative Education Experience.
- Currently employed as a co-op or intern by S-W, working a minimum of 15 hours per week; Interns must have participated a minimum of three (3) months with Sherwin-Williams.
- Students must be enrolled in a full-time course load and sustain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average at a four-year college or university, graduate school, community college, or vocational/technical school.
- Have never been previously awarded the scholarship money.
Factors that will be considered in selecting the winners
- Those who have displayed academic achievement and involvement in the internship through the Sherwin-Williams Co-op Experience.
- Scholarships will be awarded based on the applicant’s scholastic record, essays, and letters of recommendation.
- Financial need will not be a consideration.
SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS For academic year 2009-2010, Sherwin-Williams will award four one-year non-renewable college scholarships. Scholarships will be awarded as follows: 3 scholarships @ $1,000 each at Sherwin-Williams Headquarters and 1 scholarship @ $500 at Breen Technical Center (BTC). The one-year non-renewable awards will be disbursed at the beginning of the academic year.
