ELIGIBILITY

• Student applicants must be dependents of a Shearer’s Foods, Inc. full-time associate who has at least two years of continuous service with Shearer’s Foods as of June 6, 2010 and continues to be employed by the company in order to maintain scholarship eligibility.
• Applicants may be high school seniors graduating in 2010, current college students and students not currently enrolled in college between the ages of 17 and 22.
• The student selected to receive an award for the 2010-2011 Shearer’s Foods Scholarship (the award) must have had a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 based on a 4.0 scale during his/her high school or college years.
• The student selected for the award must follow a full-time college course of study or major in a four-year college or university, two-year junior or community college or vocationaltechnical school. The student must complete a minimum of twelve course hours each grading period and maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
• If the student does not complete their studies or maintain the required grade point average during the award year, the Shearer’s associate/parent will be responsible for repayment of the $1,500 scholarship to Shearer’s Foods.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Shearer’s Foods, Inc. will award four (4) $1,500 scholarships for academic year 2010-2011. The scholarship will be disbursed in full at the beginning of the academic year.
