To assist dependent sons and daughters of employees, who meet specific criteria, finance their education at a postsecondary institution of their choice.

ELIGIBILITY

• Student applicants must be dependents of regular full or part-time employee of Preformed Line Products Company and its domestic subsidiaries who has at least one year of continuous service with Preformed Line Products as of March 15, 2010 and continues to be employed by the company in order to maintain scholarship eligibility. Dependents of Preformed Line Products Company Officers are not eligible.
• Applicants may be high school seniors graduating in 2010, current undergraduate college students, and students not currently enrolled in college between the ages of 18 and 24.
• The student selected to receive an award for the 2010-2011 Preformed Line Products Company Scholarship Program must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 (based on a 4.0 scale) during his/her high school or college years. SAT and/or ACT test scores, letters of recommendation and essays will be considered.
• The student selected for the award must follow a full-time college course of study or major in a four-year college or university, two-year junior or community college or vocational-technical school. The student must complete a minimum of twelve course hours each grading period.

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
Preformed Line Products Company will award scholarship awards ranging from $1,000 to $2,500 up to a total of $10,000 each academic year. The scholarship will be disbursed in full at the beginning of the academic year. Students may reapply for renewal of their scholarship.

DEADLINES
Application deadline is April 9th. All applicants will be notified on or before April 30, 2010.
