Major Gifts Officer
Manages a major gifts portfolio to identify, cultivate and commit new donors, and capitalize on existing donors and relationships to solicit and increase major gifts to CSP. Works with the CSP Board of Directors, staff and other volunteers. Takes major role in strategic planning, program evaluation, marketing and community leadership involvement. Reports to the VP, Institutional Advancement. Requires a BA (Masters/MBA preferred) with 5-7 years of referenced experience and a record of success in major gift cultivation and solicitation. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple donor relationships. Adept at moves management strategies. Proficiency in developing and monitoring acknowledgement communication and record keeping. Competence in MS Word, Excel and database applications, esp. Raiser’s Edge. Comfort and experience interacting with persons of wealth, leading to increased giving to CSP. Must be available for evening and weekend meetings/events.


Chief Development Officer
The Chief Development Officer is responsible for a wide variety of duties including solicitation of donors and prospective donors, overseeing the planning and implementation of the annual fund raising campaign, preparing major grants requests, developing major giving strategies and arranging for planned giving opportunities. Directs of staff of 7 professionals, reports directly to the CEO, and is an integral part of the management team.

Requires a bachelor’s degree-- master’s preferred, with at least five years experience in fund raising and demonstrated supervisory experience. Knowledge of marketing and public relations for non-profit organizations is essential, along with strong oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of Raiser’s Edge preferred. Must be highly organized and strong ability to multi-task.


GEAR UP Advisor

The GEAR UP Advisor is a full time position working with students grades 6 through 12 in the Elyria School System to inform, encourage and assist them in education and training plans beyond high school, including institutional choice, career options, admissions and financial aid. Works closely with school staff to deliver instruction and interactive programs with students. Plans and carries out after school and outside educational and enrichment programs, including summer programs. Meets with parents to disseminate information as needed. Recommends students for scholarships and advocates for students. Maintains and updates all pertinent records and documentation. Engages in community outreach activities and refers students to other available resources as necessary and beneficial. Must have a bachelor’s degree and experience working with adolescents, preferably with college access emphasis. Must be computer literate with strong communication skills and a collaborative work ethic.


Manager of Financial Aid
The Manager of Financial Aid coordinates, manages and evaluates the activities and staff in the Financial Aid division. Develops and implements financial aid strategy. Oversees awarding and distribution of scholarships. Assists in the design of scholarship funds, and ensures the processing and awarding of managed funds. Fosters donor relations through tracking and reporting. Maintains fiscal responsibility and quality standards, including meeting established deadlines and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Manages Adult Learner Program scholarships. Oversees tuition support programs for contracted clients. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in College Student Personnel, Education, Business or a related field, with 3-5 years experience in financial aid and/or college access. Non-profit management, program and resource development, and supervisory experience are essential. Must be able to work evenings and weekends as necessary.
