Scholarship Guidelines
Who is Eligible? Students Who...
- Are 19 and older who have interrupted their education for one or more years
- Have obtained their high school diploma or GED
- Demonstrate financial need
- Are enrolled for at least 6 credit hours per term
- Maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative grade-point average
- Are enrolled in a Pell Eligible degree-seeking program
- Do NOT have a bachelor's degree
- Are attending a public or a private not-for-profit college or university
- Must be a resident of Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark, Summit or Trumbull counties.
How Do I Apply?
- Apply online. The application deadline is October 15, 2010.
- File the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form.
- Write a 300-word essay about your academic and career goals.
- Obtain and submit an academic transcript if you have previously been enrolled in college.
- In addition to your applications, you will need to submit to Cleveland Scholarship Programs your Student Aid Report (SAR), college financial aid award letter, unofficial college transcripts or unofficial grade reports proof of high school graduation of GED certificate, and any other materials Cleveland Scholarship Programs may require.
